Default Crash to Desktop at Login

Can anyone assist me please?

I have updated my EQ folder edited the Host, the eqlsclient, i have checked to make sure there are no spaces as well.

However ever time I click on login the machine pause about 2 seconds then i'm right back at my desktop screen.

Please any assistance would be of great help.

let me clarify the screen i'm talking about is right where you type in your user name and password

ONce I do that and click login I get booted to my desktop

Eww thats a new error to me. Do you have a firewall fo any kind sometimes they interfear did you patch to live before you edited the eqhost.txt file did you register a username and password for the game? Answering those questions might help me help you more i dont really know why it would be doing that.

Did you patch to the European patch servers or American, because they each use different eqhost.txt formats.

I am running a DLINK router.. but I have never experienced problems with it before and it runs fine on the WinterRoar Server

Yes I patched to live before I edited the eqhost then I went back and switched the host to eqmu

and yes I have a username and password registered in the new format

I'm really at a complete loss

I"m going to try a fresh install of EQ once and see if that does anything

that i'm not certain I want American but I'm unsure what we are talking about

Host=eqemulator.net:5995

is what I"m using if that is what your looking for

its just so odd because I can load up the WR patcher and go through login just fine with that and play on WR

Ok now this is weird I was able to finally login.... however I saw NO servers at all online?

Yes me too i can load up Winters ROar np but the new one for some reason needs me to open up the firewall dunno why but its like that. Alow ip: eqemulator.net and port 5995 and it should work. Thats all i did.

hhmm anyone else have more info on this ??

I have a DI 604 Router and I"m able to access my router features but I'm unsure what all I need to unlock that IP

because when i enter eqemulator.net it says invalid ip

can you give me a screenshot of what it looks like or what options you have i know nothing about routers but i could probly figure it out of not one else wants to help you i'll try.
