Default everquest patch

I have EQ installed in several locations/partitions on my computer, and one of them isn't patched yet, is there one specific file i could copy out of that installation to the others if I wanted to play on the emu servers, or does a patch usually change multiple files? I did see someone looking for eqgame.exe, would that be the only file I need to copy?

You're going to need client files patched to about the time 0.5.6 came out, a freshly patched client won't work with that version. Unless you have an older client version that you know works with 0.5.6 you'll have to patch to current and use the newest CVS server files. To answer your question, generally only eqgame.exe and eqmain.dll are changed in a regular patch and effect Emu. However, in larger patches other files can be changed which also effect Emu as well.

To be compatible with the server you only need the dlls and exes. The uifiles directory is recomended to avoid weirdness. That is all that has to be copied, you can even use zones and stuff that is newer than those dlls with the old version.
