Default stand alone readme?

very interested in running my own server, but before I go one step further, I'd like to RTFM a few times. where can I get just the illustrious readme file I will undoubtedly be referred to every time I post a question? is it in the source files? or can I download it independently? TIA

Ahhh.. You have learned well from the mistakes of others..

Use the source Luke, use the source...

Actually, if you download the 3.1.1 win32 package off sourceforge, it'll havea nice big readme in it..

I think shawn has a readme he links to sometimes, butthe best place is to ALWAYS get the latest release and get the readme.txt out of it. That way you sure it is the latest up to date copy.

For online reading, try eqemu.shownomercy.net he even broke it up into sections to make it a little easier to read. This may or may not stay up to date though!
