Alright...earlier in the week (Sunday) I got the dreaded 1017 error! Oh no! I nearly panicked...tried all sorts of stuff and no server would work at all. I remembered right then that I had a backup EQ that I made for the Test Server so I wouldn't have to patch back and forth [Probably shoulda done the same for 4.4 EQEmu eh?]. Well anyway...I patched that up to normal EQ standards, changed the EQHost.txt and bam! Right in, no problems. So my solution would be...
A) Uninstall EverQuest entirely, then reinstall
B) ALWAYS keep a backup EQ or two, one for EQLive, one for EQEmu, and one in case EQEmu dies.
C) Give up, cry like a baby, then wait for a newer version?
