I have been wondering about submissions but the stuff I have customised on my server (not a great deal to be honest) is aimed at making it easier for our server population - 8 people max with about 4 regulars - to level up and have fun, and is definitely not really "classic" eq. The changes I made include:

* A "random drop" system which allocates point values to all loot according to an algorithm then adds random drops to mobs within relevant level ranges. This was inspired by George's "Diablo style loot" idea. It's run from a php script top modify loot tables and I run it every week so that the random drops rotate.

* A "credit note" system. Mobs have a small chance of dropping a credit note which may then be turned in either for a) an item (like the casino in SH) or b) LDoN points which may then be spent to acquire rare spells or tomes

* A special newbie quest set up in an unused zone (chambersf actually), the reward of which is a gate hammer just like the old EQ overthere hammer but goes to PoK instead

* A custom vendor in PoK selling useful potions (distillates) and other bits and pieces to help new people

So as you can see I haven't been fixing "classic" content per se. Having said that I should probably write up the quests and SQL for this stuff and see if people like it - it just wouldn't be part of "vanilla" EQ, would it?

Paul.
