if anyone can help, when exporting to .s3d the .map file cant be created

ive looked through the forums and i couldnt find the answer to my problem, does anyone know how to fix this? ive tried lower versions of the program and i get the same thing, when trying to export a map to .s3d i enter the zone name, it creates the .s3d files but brings up a message saying it could not create the .map file
