Default Mob ghosting(?) on Debian

I have recently set the variable, PersistentZoneState, to 1. This has the effect of maintaining the zone so you can still see the same mobs after you die and return. My zones now seem to double up on the mobs somtimes. Sometimes they no longer move around but stay in one spot. I have seen 3 guards in POK with the same name just standing around.

This didn't happen until I change the variable. (Reasonably sure changing it back will fix the issue.) I was wonder if anyone else had this problem and if there is a way to fix it.

I was thinking that maybe this, http://www.eqemulator.net/forums/showthread.php?t=24871, would be usable in this case. It isn't what it was made for but seems like it could work.
