Bard - Fading Memories (no invis nor mana usage)

Any idea what could cause the title?

I just made a bard on someone's server, got him to 70, AA'ed, and although the Fading Memories AA wipes agro, it is not making the bard invis, nor consuming the 900 mana.

The description of the spell is normal. I just want to make sure that somehow accidentally starting a brief patch to live one day (quickly canceled) did not mess things up at all. I am not sure if this is a client side issue, or server side issue.

If server, I could pass along the fix to the owner.
