From what I hear, the very latest Live patch has broken the ability to log into the Login Server again. So, we will need to correct that at some point. Right now, we are not overly concerned with keeping the fully patched Live clients functional, though it wouldn't hurt to get them working on the Login Server so we can continue to at least somewhat keep up with Live to reduce work in the future for later clients if ever needed. It is normally much easier to keep up with a few minor changes here and there than it is to wait a couple years and then try to get a new client working.

While our original plans for the Live client were to just get the basics working, I think those plans have changed now that the new SoD "Starter Pack" from Steam is now the June 8th EQ Live client that includes Underfoot. We will most likely have that client caught up with the functionality of the SoD client as soon as we can.

I am just about to start a new Dev thread for the updated Steam client, so we can track what needs work and what bugs need to be resolved. At least most of the systems are functional, but there are definitely issues left to iron out.
