Astal you are on the right path. The x, y & z values are as you stated. However the fourth value is a bit of a mystery to me as well. It looks like it should be a heading value but the value is to high for that to be true. I tried changing it to 0 just to see what would happen and it had no obvious effect. The heading value seems to default to 127.3 when using the SoD client.
The spell out of range error usually occurs when using an older version of the client, like Titanium. The only other reason I can think of atm is maybe you forgot an entry to the spells_new table or the spell file itself.
