cant get past chr name approval

feel free to slate me if this was already posted by another, but when i log onto someones server, i create my chr go thru the bleh bleh religion...then when it says submitting chr name for approval plz wait thingy it does nothing...just shows my chr spinning around etc and i cant hit back, next or anything (welll i can but it doesnt take me anywhere) please any help would be grateful
