I run strawberry perl, but it's version 512 and I compiled the server myself. This may be a problem for you later, but you haven't gotten there yet.

vsab asks good questions: where did you get the repack?
Which client are you using to connect?

I'd like to know a little about your network as well. Is this at home? An apartment complex that provides internet? What kind of router? Port forwarding done correctly?
