Default World.exe error on launch - "invalid allocation size"

I searched the forums but didn't see anyone having a similar issue.

I followed the instructions in the guide, set up my own login server, etc.; when I run the startup.bat, everything loads with no issues. My problem is world.exe - I get the menu at the start, and when I hit 0 to exit and it starts loading everything, I get to "[World Server] Client (UDP) listener started", and then I get a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error with the following text:

"Debug Error!

Program C:\EQ\EQEmuServer\world.exe

Invalid allocation size: 4294967292 bytes"

I get options to abort, retry, ignore; selecting either of the last two runs through a bunch of commands (in red) and then the program ends.

Any suggestions?
