My spells_us.txt file is empty but there is a spells_en.txt file with content in it. The UF and RoF clients I have are ones [redacted] so they might had been modified.

I checked out the dbstr_us file and notice the foci use $, # and @ before a number. Any idea what these represent? Perhaps the wrong syntax is being used? I will post some examples.

Increases the damage of spells by up to $1 percent
Reduces the cast time of spells by #1 percent.

Ignites your target's clothing on fire, causing @1 damage.
Encases your target in freezing water, causing #1 damage.
