Crash on Zone and Chacter Load
I've been searching the forums for a day or two now and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to fix my problem.
On a multitude of servers when I create a character I load in fine however the second I zone, be it by #zone or using zone lines, my game locks up and I have to Ctrl+Alt+Del out of the game. Then part two hit's me I give a few min to punt my character out, as if I had gone LD, and when I try to load back into the game I hit the character select screen select my char and it moves to the next screen with the EQ logo where again it locks up my game and I have to Ctrl+Alt+Del out of the game. I can delete the character and recreate but again the second I zone the problem reoccurs. I have even used the #movechar command to no avail.
I've reinstalled EQ twice thinking that was the problem and I've even deleted my character files but that has not helped in any form.
I'm running an AMD Athlon XP 2600 (2.13Ghz) with 1.25GB of PC2100 DDR Ram, Geforce FX 5200 (53.03 Forceware Drivers) on Windows XP Professional SP1, DX9.0b.
I also have the problem but not as servere on my latop: Mobile P4 1.70Ghz, 256Mb Ram, Geforce 440 Go, Windows XP Home SP1, DX9.0b
A solution to this problem would be GREATLY appreciated.
