Lag and massive Ping when using Minilogin..

Ok when connecting to myself im getting packetloss and lagspikes consistantly of 4k any ideas on how to correct this as its kinda annoying connecting to my own harddrive and getting a 4000-8000 ping :P

Oh also, just been runnin around and whenever i try to cast it says *spell effects off* any ideas how i can turn um on?
