Alright this is or WAS going to be my first server. I had someone on eq help me set up my server. I can get it to show on the Server List. But when I try to log on the server I get the 1017 error. He said I need to forward my ports..
-I have a Netgear Ethernet Hub (Which apparently can not be forwarded.
-I have tried typing in my gateway ip into IE, 192.168.0.1 (Did not work.
-I've tried going through Run, cmd, telnet 192.168.0.1 (Which also didn't work. (QUOTE: Connecting to 192.168.0.1...Could not open connection to the host, on port 23. No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.
I'm going through the Hub to the "Main" computer, which is connected to the cable modem. It's called InfoRanger or something like that. My provider is videotron. I have no firewalls up on either computer. I do not know what to do, I've tried pretty much everything... All I want is for my server to work
