It's not possible to emulate EQ2 yet. Heck, even EQ1 emulation is still not perfect. It's going to be at least a year until you hear anything at all for EQ2.

EQ2 emulation is in progress. They have a working (as far as I know) packet collector and they are collecting logs. I think it is some of the people at hackersquest, namely Zordon.

Don't think it ever will be 100% perfect to be honest =/ since live keeps updating stuff and addint stuff that always needs to be fixed on emu, and of course they add stuff that gives emu a living hell like the last patch.

True. Until Sony drops EQ so that they still updating, EQ1 emulation would only have a chance at being "perfect". But even then it would only be code-wise, and database development would only be done from memory if that.
