Well Im stumped! It should have worked smooth as butter. I mean by all this time you should have got something to work..Are you sure you have a 6.1DR1 client? Have you been playing on PEQ back before it went live? Imean when I was trying to log into my 6.1DR2 server and I was not compatible I would get this same error. Received unknown opcode: 0x0000 size:0 bytes.

Oh Hey..I did notice I have the same error Received unknown opcode: 0x0000 size:0 bytes. On my working server. So that error must not mean anything. Im running on the same PC right now. Im just getting ready to run on a separate comp later. I dont think you could get into mine even if it was open cause I got everything set to localhost here. So Im assuming I can only log in anyway. Im not that experienced with Networking and this is the game to help me learn that I guess.

Anyway Good Luck.

Well I got it running on my PC and not my server, man I still don't know if I messed things up or if the software was messed up but it's running. I kept getting missing minilogin variable even though I know I set it up (tryed 3 times) so I started again.

I ran cavedude's install but the DB wouldn't install, but after a few tries it installs but it's messed up has a few errors and makes my client crash.

So I over write the server files with 6.1-DR1 and minilogin 6.1 and replace the DB with 6.1-DR2 and bam I'm in running around...

/em <Eric Cartman voice> Sweeeet!

But I zone to POK and crash the client ummm bummer, anyone know why that might be?

Oh and how might I get a hold of a DB that is say more complete?
Do we need pearl to have quests working?
Because it'd be nice to have the NPC respond to Hails and things.

Thanks for the help Dr. Zauis

I know that if I have my server set to minilogin and I try to zone it wont do it. Im not doing anything with minilogin password either. Also even when I set to public everthing works great but sometimes I get a zone unavailable error and server will not respond. Im camping in tutorial zone all the time now. It always works from there.
I cant tell you how to get Cavedudes DB to work..LOL I dont even want to say this but I have been using mysqlfront to source it in. And then replacing the files into the 6.1DR2 database. It worked great but something is wrong with the pathing on the levels below luclin expansion. If I anything about this stuff I would probably laugh at myself.
Im having big trouble with perl. Everything works OK with the 6.1DR2 DataBase but if I try to hail someone that have no respsonse as default the zone crash. I have alot to learn yet..If anyone could provide a complete DB with luclin it would save me alot of time learning the basics LOL.
