This is just what I mean: we have missing a certain kind of player - the player that really "plays" in the way when Everquest started out.
I guess this is what I really am looking for, when I say "classic". This "disease" plagues Everquest Live too, but they have taken some measures to restore some old-style play back (progression servers, preferred servers, etc), and is why I suggested we start by fixing the log-n server.

Well, I'd like to play EQ the old fashion way, but it doesn't seem like there are enough people who would like to join with that. Most friends of mine are corrupted by illnesses like World of Warcraft and they don't wanna try EQ just because of the graphics. That's very poor to watch, but whatever... be it that way.

Starting out with nothing on an EQ server is very boring, I can tell, but it's a lot more fun if people stick together. I'm still hoping that someone would like to join me on my quest here
