We encourage everyone to join up on our forums as we will be having beta applications in the near future and we would love to keep everyone updated on the status of our project that is interested.
Just one question: Are you considering to release your database changes and source modifications at some point in the future?
Don't take it personally but I am getting quite sick of all the work that is lost as soon as a server dies. Yes, having someting uniqe is good for your ego, but only as long as it lasts.
no plans on releasing source at this time... but no worries,if server makes it, i wont let it die
and i might just change my mind later on.. but at this time no plans on that part. sorry
How will you be remembered? or will they even remember you? We're all sitting on the edge of a giant project: an emulator for one of the biggest games ever: Everquest.
Your server and what you do for your server is secondary to what you are doing for the project. Any small piece of code, Perl quest, SQL or anything else you give to the project will carry on for always - That's why I tell people to include their name in what they did, that will become part of EqEmu history.
