Thanks for the suggestion...I'll try it.

I looked in my log files and found this:

Looks like something isn't right with my quests. This is for the AX database.

I'm coming from EQ2 and am used to everything being spoon fed to me.

I'm hoping to use this EQ experience as a springboard to get a beginners foundation on mySQL and Perl.

Did you install the IO-Stringy, DBI and DBD-MySQL packages? It sounds like you're missing one of those packages as per the guide. I could be wrong, and if that's not it, try and get the Perl version from http://www.activestate.com/downloads/ (AFTER you uninstall the latest perl, of course.)
