now it is timing out when i try to log in , i tried changing the host txt file to Host=64.251.21.39:5998 but that isnt working, im running on a home wireless lan with a netgear router, i opened it all the way up its still not working.

Are you using MiniLogin or the public loginserver?

minilogin port needs to be 5999, otherwise you should replace the IP address to eqemulator.net.

Also make sure you open port 5998(or 5999 if minilogin) and forward the correct ports if you are hosting a server (5998~5999, 9000, and 7000~7005 by defualt)

while im not sure what miniport and PLS means, i got it to work by manually triggering my ports again then changing the eqhost.txt back to eqemulator.net thanks everyone! haha im playin! :P
