Coming back up now... had to throw the Windows system back on it after struggling with it all night. The Debian guide is good, but there are several areas that don't flow right, and you can't follow it step by step. I know LInux pretty well, but compiling is a whole different story I'm just glad I used a new hard drive and kept the one that was ready to go in Windows

Ok, I apologize, but I'm bringing it back down to take another stab at the Linux setup... One way or another I'll have the server up tonight.

Ok I have it running on Linux, thats the good news the bad news is I had to start up with a clean PEQ database... I'll continue working today on getting the account, npc, and quest files moved over. Until that work is done, the server may be up and down a little.

Well that went better than expected from my initial tests, everything seems to be rocking! I'll be online for a while stress testing and if all looks good I shouldn't need to restore it again. All characters have been restored, so let me know if anything is out of place

Thank you, oh and a special thanks to Angelox if you see him he helped me through some errors I was seeing.

Well..figures when its back up..my computer takes a dump.
Went to sleep last night..woke up this morning to a blank screen..
Restarted, BSOD.
Format-still BSOD can't even begin to install windows.
wtf.

havent seen anyone on yet... hope everything is setup right. I kept the firewall settings the same so I should be good.

Nice. I like being able to bounce around from zone to zone. I'd keep the #zone command for everyone. You need a jewlery vendor and some bard armor. Otherwise I like being able to jump around and kill stuff. It's fun soling dragons
