Maybe if your sadistic brain intent on destroying communities would focus on facts, instead of focusing on your own opinions, you'd see what I meant.

You are as powerless as anyone else is on a server. Yet, you don't get that, and when I try and make you see, you flame me back.

I don't keep to myself for one reason: I keep people in place, mainly those who are blind to common sense.

Chances are one of the following happened:
1) Rules were stated clearly, and you ignored them.
2) You broke a rule after being warned that you did not follow a rule, and proceeded anyway.
3) A combination of 1 & 2.

It happens every time... there's always a backstory. A picture does not always speak a thousand words; in your case, it spoke 30 at most, which is definately not the whole story.

Why did I decide this server's post to defend the topic creator? Because it's simple, I am sick and tired of arrogant EQEmu players asserting themselves to higher quality of service. Not everyone eats, drinks, sleeps, bathes, and dreams of EQEmu here. Nor do half the players respect rules put out for them.

If we were to have a world without rules, there would be total anarchy. The same applies to a server. If it had no rules, there would be people with MQ2 warping and ghostkilling around, kill stealing, training, etc. (these are just examples I put forth.)

And yes, I do think it is dumb you got gear removed. But your fault for not knowing the rules, regardless if you were told them or not. Judging from that picture, the server admin always said to include people, so you either didn't get the memo or you're just ignoring his rules, and were punished as such, and again, are complaining.

I certainly wouldn't remove gear (as that's just a bit harsh) but I would punish rule-breakers, which this guy did.

And I believe he was justified in his decision.

None of this matters since you're just going to say a one liner of how I should stay out of this, but ah well, that's how it goes. People are so blind.

I was never told everyone in the server had to be involved until the day my gear was stripped and I was delv'd.

I was threatened by his guild members when I told them they couldn't come, which only reinforced the fact I wouldn't bring them.

I absolutely understand the concept his server his rules, as long as he displays them and well, he should have handled it differently. I wrote him a PM and explained the entire situation and after that email he simply deleted my characters claiming to avoid drama.

Aren't you over-reacting a tad? I mean Sadistic? that's entirely harsh; I didn't stalk him and key his car! I posted a screenshot ;p, hell you don't even know me. In fact you came on here, flamed me and then scolded me for being childish for flaming? Quite the confusing situation!

Now I realize you view yourself as this omnipotent unappreciated intellectual. Try and wrap your mind around this...I played on a server to relax and I avoid new players as much as possible as its frustrating explaining things to them. So after helping and running a few raids for newer players I decided to branch out, and was punished for it. The reason for my punishment only became clear AFTER the apparently infraction. So I PM'd him, the above happened, so I made this post. Then as I mentioned earlier; you decided to bless me with your wisdom, I mean before I thought rules were just the worlds way of ruining my good time. My eyes can now truly understand the world around me after such incredible insight...I mean no rules would be anarchy...now the movie madmax makes sense finally!!!

I'm done, you admitted the only reason you posted in this thread was to flame, so why continue it on? Sorry for the Hijacking everyone but I stand by my first post and disagree with forced rules that aren't stated. No where in message of the day or any of these posts does it state that.

So be forewarned, you will be punished for not complying with unspoken rules.

Ok, maybe I was a bit harsh on you. I apologize. I do not mean to insult your integrity, or cause any mental anguish as a result of posting.
I'm actually kind of a nice person, but just extremely raged. I can admit that :P

I banned him because he was extremely rude in ooc ("Fuck this server, fuck Tiny (me)" etc) and trained people. His friend also admitted they were duping. So if you want a first class citizen on your server, by all means invite this guy.

This was after I punished him for violating the rules.

If any members of his now disbanded guild wish to remain and play nice, they are more than welcome to. They can also join the main guild if they wish or start a new one that will adhere to the play nice rule.

The reality is there is only so much bandwidth available, so I want the server to be cohesive. If that means pruning a few bad apples, so be it. Call me Stalin.


To be clear: His characters were deleted because he trained people and trash talked in OOC, after I did the original punishment.
