Trying to run it on Vista right?

Here is my work around.
1. Open EQhost file
2. Modify the file then do a save as to desktop
3. Clost the EQhost file (exit notepad)
4. Delete or rename the EQhost file in your EQ directory
5. Move the EQhost file from your desktop to the EQ directory.
