Because they want to :p Some people like it and don't want to pay the money every month. If there was an emulator for it, I would probably buy the game so I could play it, I don't have the money every month to be paying it, thats a reason why I quit EQ. They will probably have an admin tool like we have where you can change the mobs hps and stuff so it is soloable. I soloed fear plane with a lvl 50 character on the emu. Its probably the same for DAOC
If not, you can correct me, I know nothing of this emulator. And about not having uber items, I bet they make an item creator
