Another nice thread hijacking.

I would hardly keeping a server online with the same name for x years as being a record holder. If you could keep the same database up that long without wiping it, I would be impressed.

Forums are Discussions... That means questions are asked and answered.. He had a legitimate question, and I had a legitimate answer... Not sure if you were talking to me or not.. These forum topics do tend to go in different directions.. There are no rules against discussion are there?

Well it feels good to me bud I am proud of my work, and proud that no player has beat my server... And proud that I stay 40 steps ahead of them at all times...

And yes the Database has been around that long, That is what I was referring too... We did have a nasty rollback a few years back.. But there are mobs created that still exist on my server since day 1 in June of 2002....

Thanks to Looser actually for retaining a copy of this database.. We actually lost it in a Fire some 6 years ago when I hosted it myself...

Now to go back on TOPIC :

GuildWars are you guys going to use your OLD database or you just going to start fresh ?? Would love to see another NON PEQ database around (no offense PEQ you guys ROCK !!!)

Thread Hijacking:

The act of taking over a thread on a message board by taking a part of the original posted topic, twisting it around and "hijacking" the thread itself. What happens is that the original content contained in the post becomes moot and whatever the "thread hijacker" has manipulated the content to be becomes the new content thereby "hijacking" the original intent of post. People now respond to the "thread hijacker's" input and the that becomes the focus of the thread.

So basically if the discussion of the forum topic posted bends a little then your going to freak out and call it Hijacking ??

Please... Forums are Discussions.. Evolving Discussions... Go back in time in EVERY SINGLE POST IN THE HISTORY OF THE EQEMULATOR FORUMS...

And Find me ONE example where this has not happened....

Hijacking sir would be like ... Me posting without any observation for the current discussion.... something to the effect of :

TRY BLUE !!! IT'S THE NEW RED !!!


Something totally off topic and nothing related to anything.. Thats Hijacking so get your facts straight please

It will be a modified PEQ database. Lower level zones would stay default. Cities and some higher level zones will be changed. In some cases, drastically.

I really miss guildwars... and cant believe its been such a long time since one of its manifestations was up... and even more surprised no one has made a successful similar server since... But yeah... if one showed up I would definitely play it.... But I wont hold my breath I'll just keep playing on these generic progression servers.

Someone just make a freaking GW server!
