Check your db settings in your eqemu_config.xml file. After that check your account settings in your database. Maybe you have the user configure improperly in the database. Make sure MySQL is running on the server too.

weird. i reinstalled everything started from scratch its giving me the same error all over. my eqemu config is fine and i followed the instructions step by step for the mysql configuration, MYSQL is up.. not sure what else to do =/

You have to make a user who has access to the eqemu database in mysql.
