if you have more than one identically named file, it means your OS is hiding true file extension from you

Might need to turn off "hide extensions for known file types" in folder options. There's should be only two in there: loadscreen.bmp and loadscreen.jpg. The game uses loadscreen.jpg to load the game.

Yes, Batch 06 are Lineage II. Batch 01-02 are from EverQuest II: Legends of Norrath (except #08 which is from Last Chaos), Batch 03-05 are Atlantica Online.

My file extensions are shown. I was saying that for the purpose of correcting a mistake I saw in the directions, sorry it wasn't worded perfectly.

Forgot to ask, what are the directions to change the login screen. I just searched around for it but couldn't find it.

Had to make some corrections, so this should make it work. I couldn't edit the first post with the directions because of the time limit.

Directions
1.)Download the loading screen that you want. It should be named something like loadscreen03.jpg.Then edit out the number and rename the file from loadscreenXX.jpg to loadscreen.jpg.

2.) Back up your original file usually found in:
C:\Program Files\Sony\your EverQuest installation directory\Resources

3.) Copy the new loading screen there, and you should be good to go.

Ah. Those are in your uifiles folder. You should see a file called EQLS_background_01.tga to EQLS_background_06.tga. Those files are all split up into 6 parts. Just remember to save each of them as a 24-bit Targa file.

Had more time to improve on the new loadscreen template. I was able to split up the sections and implement a bit of layering.



If there's enough demand, I could probably start on these new ones. They look so much better, imo. They just take much longer since it's a bit more tricky. I don't think I'll be cranking out 150+ of them in a day, rofl.
