I am using the SoD client and my eqhost.txt file is correct. I can log into the account with Titanium client just fine. I've also tried to log into this account on a fresh install of SoD (with eqhost.txt changed of course) and it gives me same error. I've rebooted PC and tried these same steps on other PC's, with the same results.

My conclusion is that it has something to do with the SoD login server. What can I do to fix this?
When you refer to the SoD login server, I assume you mean tsahosting.net:5999. It appears you are not using tsahosting.net:5998 for Titanium logins. It would help us more if you did as that will help us diagnoze the issues better. We know there is an intermittent issue with the version of the login server code that is running on tsahosting.net and we are actively working to resolve the issue. Also, what time did you have the problems logging in using SoD and did it ever succeed using SoD on that account? Thanks.

Using Titanium..
Host=eqemulator.net:5998 = I can log in
Host=www.tsahosting.net:5998 = Unknown error

Using SoD..
Host=www.tsahosting.net:5999 = Unknown error

Will be glad to provide any more info just ask. Thanks!

Thanks. We will be looking at the logs to see if we can figure out where things are going wrong. BTW, which server were you trying to connect to?

Thanks shea851. We still don't have a handle on what exactly is causing the problem so we added more logging to the login server. Could you try again and report your results. Thanks.

It appears you have not been exiting the running copy of everquest between your tests most of the time. Could you please be sure to exit the game and start it up fresh and try again? The game caches certain information about the server list, which is not a problem for Sony where the server list never changes, but is a problem for us where servers connect and disconnect from the login server.

Anyway, please restart the client and try again. If it fails, please immediately exit the client and grab the dbg.txt file from the everquest directory and post the contents here. Thanks.
