You can run the login stuff separate from the sql files. I was able to get it to work on a Win7 32bit machine connecting to a Win7 64bit machine over a LAN.

1.You will still need to setup mysql on both computers making sure you check the "Enable root access from remote machines" box. This is done during the setup of mysql. You can use the instance config wizard to change this setting if you didn't do it on the initial setup.

2.The computer with the Eqemulogin will also need perl installed and all of the regular files such as maps, quests, exe's etc.

3. You will need to modify eqemulogin.ini and eqemu.config files. You will want to replace "localhost" with the ip address of you remote machine with the sql files. Examples below

Code:
Port=5999
DumpPacketsIn=true
DumpPacketsOut=true
Trace=true
DatabaseServerName=192.168.1.105
DatabaseCatalogName=local
DatabaseUserName=root
DatabaseUserPassword=password
OPCodePathAndFileName=login_opcodes.conf
Code:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<server>
<world>
<shortname>myworld</shortname>
<longname>myworld long name</longname>

<!-- address has to be specified for minilogin to work -->
<address>192.168.1.101</address>
<localaddress>192.168.1.101</localaddress>

<!-- Loginserver information. -->
<loginserver>
<host>192.168.1.101</host>
<port>5999</port>
<account>Account</account>
<password>Password</password>
</loginserver>

<!-- Sets the shared key used by zone/launcher to connect to world -->
<key>blehblahblehblee</key>

<!-- Enable and set the port for the HTTP service -->
<http port="9080" enable="true" mimefile="mime.types"/>
</world>

<!-- Database configuration, replaces db.ini -->
<database>
<host>192.168.1.105</host>
<port>3306</port>
<username>root</username>
<password>Password</password>
<db>peq1667</db>
</database>
</server>

Thank You Capheus, I had my suspicions that sql had to be installed on
the login computer, but I didn't realize all the others had to, as well
I did in fact, enable remote access for the sql when I installed it on the
sql machine. I have that seperate from the world/zone machine, I was
just trying to set up all 3 (peqdb/apps/login) on 3 seperate computers.
So I'll give that try with the login, thanx
