What type of server do YOU want?

a plane old random loot server. no crazy quests, no crazy fast exp. just wander around and easter egg hunt and have fun. No randomizing stats so a cloth cap gives +15hp regen and 5k hp.. none of that, just a plain jane random loot server so you can wander around and kill firebeetles looking for a good item.

There used to be a server - Gnomish Proving Grounds (GPG) that was perfect. It was a progression server, allowed 3 boxing, allowed #zone command so you didn't have to run 3 zones to get somewhere. It had a great 2.5xp modifier, all keys for zones were removed (sebilis, etc). The HP on mobs was slightly decreased to account for 12-15 toon raids.

It was quite a popular server - 25-40 people on a night (not characters, actual people).


I miss that server. It had everything. They were going to take the server down for a month to clean up the coding and the coder got busy and it never happened.


There's a multitude of servers out there - but it's tough to find one that incorporates everything people are looking for. I don't like extremely fast xp, 2x xp is adequate, and I don't like insane hp / dmg like some servers. I like old school EQ, but without the time sinks (running thru zones, factions, key farming, etc).

It would be nice to see a server with the above incorporated and go thru the OOW expansion - but I have yet to find a server like GPG.

There are plenty of progression servers, most are solo tho and I miss the raid atmosphere.
