This sounds interesting but there is already KPEmu that pretty much covers most of what youre intending to create here. KPEmu is very well made, whats going to make your server different?

This server - even though is similar to KP - is very different in progression. Some of the mechanics - such as the ability to level to 60 and also AA xp at 51 WITHOUT having done any progression is different than KP.

KP was cheesed. Casino loot, Warriors and Zerkers "dps zerking" raid mobs, the exploiting of the the whole back flag system "cheesed" everything on KP. There were many mistakes made on KP that impacted the server - this was just a few that come to mind.

Ironically - most the players that play here are from KP.

This server is very well made and most everything has worked up to this point. There was a quest or two that wasn't functioning properly and it was fixed the same day. This is to be expected as it is currently in BETA.

The GM is active and is always around assisting anyone with questions and doesn't hide in game.

There are many EMU servers that are similar - someone happened to take the basic concept of KP (or small group raiding progression) and expand on it - fixing some of the things that crippled KP.

Man, shoulda stuck with Nagafen's lair, and not turn it into a 100% raid-core

I disagree - I think there is a good niche for small group raiding - it's just certain elements that made people unhappy.

There are some eqemu players who like custom-custom - like Raid Addicts / THF etc. Then there are some who like classic EQ with just a few custom peices - like KP / Wrath of Vulak.

The problem is - the mechanics. Some people don't mind having SOD's in Kunark, having BOC's in Kunark, having berserk warriors doing more DPS than a rogue. Then there are some who like the classic eq mechanics - with a twist, such as giving paladins and sk's defensive - but keeping the core game mechanics classic - and that's Wrath of Vulak.

Solo servers are a dime a dozen - there are only two small group raid servers that I'm aware of.

I never played Naggy's Lair when Bohdi was the GM - but I've heard him mentioned by previous players that miss the server the way it was.

Put it up

I guess I'm just a filthy casual, I like to log on, kill some stuff, get some loot, and log off. If I run out of content in 2-3 months I'm ok with that :P Can just start over. I don't mind grinding levels, but excessive faction grinding or camping rare spawns or items x10 to progress isn't my idea of fun anymore :/
