Keep an ear out..I haven't run across this particular situation before.
EDIT: On the Mines issue..I think there is a post about that.
As far as the update menu, if your db is up-to-date, you shouldn't be getting the menu..only a quick blip in the console window
saying that updates are being checked.
If you're getting the menu and it's saying you need to update..then it doesn't let you..that is odd...
