I installed both the server and client. (for local play). Seems to be running fine. I never had anything to do with EQ2 before, so just wanted to check it out. It's an interesting new world, both client side and server side.

Thanks for checking it out Huppy glad you were able to setup hopefully without too many issues!

Just to update we had a post put out on eq2emulator.net about what has been done this year, as summarized as possible since it is pretty extensive.

0.9.0 Codebase as of October 21st:
- Entire base project now open source to allow anyone to run a full fledged eq2emu project (login was previously restricted).
- Large number of stability, performance, resiliency fixes
- Mapping (line of sight, heightmap), Navigation Pathing (avoid walls/walk up stairs, etc), Water Region support. Majority of classic zones have full support in these 3 parts.
- Numerous features/fixed added to support clients (tying into slash commands, UI functionality, etc.).
- Full code changelog can be found here: http://eq2emu.com:3001/en/Changelog

Content:
- Countless number of spells implemented, heroic opportunities basics implemented.
- Countless number of pathing/quests/spawns/loot/harvesting/voice overs/animations updated: Caves, Antonica, Fallen Gate, Sunken City, Peat Bog, Oakmyst Forest, Outpost of the Overlord, Sprawl, Commonlands, Queen's Colony
- Mounts are functional (stat bonuses TBD).
- Flightpaths implemented.
- Far Journey zone fully restored circa classic (best viewed in DoF client)
- Various zone doors fixed, correct orientation and zone points (into houses, etc.)
- A good number of the content changes can be tracked on the milestone forum page here: https://www.eq2emulator.net/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=93

Setup Improvements:
- Auto account creation within EQ2 client login of an un-used username.
- Publicly available clients
Altar of Malice (2015) via Steam: https://eq2emu.com/playontest.html
Desert of Flames (Jan 2006) via Fileplanet: https://www.fileplanet.com/archive/p...Quest-2-Client
- Server installer for Linux and Windows available: https://www.eq2emulator.net/phpBB3/v...p=35651#p35651

Community:
- Two publicly available servers currently, clientls.eq2emulator.net (content development) and zeklabs.com (latest code / playtest).

Use the page https://eq2emu.com/playontest.html to understand how to change eq2_default.ini to the appropriate login server.
