Default Problem

Having a probelm when I try and login I enter my login name PhatAlbert and then my PW and I get the message saying that Check and see if EQHOST.TXT exists in the everquest directory. I dont understand, I changed the eqhost.txt to what the readme says.

Default yeah yeah

the eqhost.txt file should be in the same dir. as all the other fles your everquest stuff is stored in. so if you installed everquest to c:\program files\sony\everquest\ and your using eqgame.exe patchme or EQW and running the eqgame from that directory then the eqhost.txt should be in that dir. to :d. Just thought i would go into a little detail. and bug the hell out of everyone :P

Default efrg

My stuff is in C:\Program Files\Everuqest and so is my eqhost.txt. But still I get this problem when I got to run put what it says in readme (patchme) I enter the game and when I get to the login screen and put in my SN and PW I get that message. Is it just not recognizing te eqhost.txt and if so can I do anything to fix this problem?

Default there might be something wrong

I'm just a bit confused right now. are you changing the eqhost.txt file and then just starting everquest?? or are you using a command prompt and typing "eqgame.exe patchme" or u got EQW??. You may have a patch problem to. that can keep you from login in. but i doubt it. What all have you done yet. from the begining. maybe i can debug what you did and find what needs fixed.

Default Mkay

Mkay this is exactly what I did.
1)Got the patch and patcher
2) Went to readme and followed the steps listed there such as
a)Changing the eqhost.txt to what the readme says and saving it.
3) I use the patchme method to get into the game by going to Run and entering what it says in the readme.
4) This takes me to full screen agree decline.
5) I agree
6) I enter into the game and go under Connect
7) There I enter my login/station name, PhatAlbert, and my PW
I get the message that I have written in previous posts.

And yes the Everquest directory does have an icon, and within it are all my files for Eq are located within, including my eqhost.txt (which is changed to what the readme says)
