i have the same problem. :evil:
look like server is catching my internal ip and boot me out.
i have been playing with host file (WINNT\drivers\etc) and still 1017 error....
i thought my local network was wrong but i never had problem till now so.
i really have no clue about it i suck with network.
i tried so many thing to get the problem resolved but nothing worked.
I have a friend who has some good knowledge with network and will come at home tomorow
hope he will resolve it.
I will tell you if something come up.
if nothing work i will install a linux server maybe it will work better at list mysql will be faster

I found a way to get rid of it, i am using a dial up account connection hehe till my problem will be resolved.
