What is LPATCH.EXE? This is something I've never seen in the EQ world.

LPATCH.EXE is not something I am aware of. It's obvious that English is not your native language, so maybe it is something specific to your locale. Can you connect to Sony's servers and play a character? That's the only requirement these days for connecting to the latest EQEMu.

There's a post in the Tutorial section that explains how to connect: http://forums.eqemu.net/viewtopic.php?t=9649.

d3d8.dll is part of directx 8. Do you have directx 8 or higher installed?

Actually you are wrong, lpatch.exe is the Legacy of Ykesha patcher, ppatch is Planes of power patcher, kpatch is kunark patcher, vpatch is velious patcher, and so on.

Merth, lpatch.exe is definately part of the EQ install. It's the luclin patcher exe. just like kpatch.exe (kunark), vpatch.exe (velious), and Opt Patch.exe (optional zones patch)
