Try looking at the settings for your new vdo card... sometimes there can be problems when you try and use "over and above" settings. For instance if you have antioscopic filtering on you might get a VERY blurrry login screen but everything else is fine... Just set it to normal settings or even low settings and work one thing back up to higher level at a time to see what it might be... .Though it COULD be your everquest, I think it is hardware related.
