im having the same prob ive been over and over it
due to this is my first time trying this i could be doing something wrong
but also this is patch day for eq live and that could be a reason
like i said tho this is my first day and i cant get past the server login
ill keep trying and if i have any luck ill post its all went smooth up to that point and thats what makes me think that it being patch day in eq live has something to do with it /shrug

Same problem here. Been a while since I've done anything with the emulator, think the version of eq I had for the emulator was old. I read forrums and saw that they with live servers. I patched and still got the 1017 error. Then I noticed that everquest is comming out with a new expansion today... Timing is everything and mine apperently sucks bad...

YOUR SCREWED

thats why everyone says make a back of your eq dir and not to patch untill told to.. you'll have to wait for the emu to get setup for todays patch crap

A compatible release will be released when it's ready - not before.

The Devs will work on getting Emu up and running again with live soon and it will be released on CVS for testing. When the major bugs are fixed, it will be released as a binary for people to download without needing to compile.

Could be anything from a few days to a month or two. Depends on how much changed with GoD - I'm guessing because a whole new expansion has been added it could take a while...
