Also, imagine this. You decide to change your loginserver that you connect to one day so you could be on a list with other servers, oh now you have to delete from account; delete from character_;

wont your users get mad? Now what if that login goes down? Yet again, another player wipe! Doh.

Now yes, we do login server account wipes right now, but then again, we only do it when the character_ table changes so much we can't do anything about it.

But the source isn't ours. Solar coded the login server for us, but never GPL'ed it or anything else. So I guess we are stuck doing it this way.

Thanks for alleviating some of my concerns about the login server. Not being able to release the code because of a licensing issue is a good (if not unfortunate) reason for only being able to release the binaries. I think something about that should be put into the readme file as well under why it is binary only. I'm also glad to hear that there's support for a Linux version, too.

Overall, I feel a lot better about this project after reading the responses to my post. Thanks, everyone!
