I know there are things to change, I just am now so confused as to which needs to be changed. Some things I thot need to be changed, say if you think you need to change this, dont cuz you dont. Followed by a if you really think you need to change this, your still wrong type thing...

I worked with some people on the irc channel last night. They were saying that my configs should work but do for some reason do not.

Can you indicate what three things I should edit to rule that out. I will then format and try the latest version with mysql 5.

It is not that I have not read the guides or the wikis, I have read almost all of it. Probably 5 times. I am just stumped now and am looking for guidance. Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

I have gone through this and still do not know. You had said there were simply three things that I need to edit. I have tried, all I am asking for is a little guidance.

I am not trying to be lazy, but you have the answer. I do not and dont know what to do. I am sorry if this question has been asked before, but if I could figure it out I would.

Already I have formatted my machine 30 times. I have tried this 30, maybe 35 times. I dont know what I am doing wrong.
I had people on the IRC Channel look at my configs and they all said it was correct and it should work.

So please, can someone provide me some answer here ? If I have offended someone to deserve the cold shoulder, I truly appologize. I do not know what I have done to keep getting the same answer, but I appologize if I did something.

I said there is 3 wiki entries to walk you through what to do, not 3 things to change. People cant help with more then that.

Knowing how to find and fix issues is a big part of running a server, getting it up and running is by far the easy part, you are going to have a much much harder time later.

If 3 wiki articles pertaining to exactly what you are asking cannot solve your problem, us re-typing the exact thing is not going to help you, and you are likely choosing the path that is in your best interest.
