I'd be more than happy to provide a stable mirror for those files

Just pm me when there are any updates, and I will put them up asap, and send you back the links

Heres a mirror of the files released on 15/4/03

Default would love the mirror....

It would be great to have them on a stable D\L , my dial-up isn't the best
Not sure e-mail will allow it as attachment tho , almost 2.2 mb in zip for the DB , and I'm sure it will hit near 3 mb before it's done.
If it's not a bother , you could D\L them from my links and post links to your mirror.
I can try the e-mail , but i think it's got a 2 mb limit on attachments.

tcs, like Trump said, you should ask Drawde to merge in your waypoints. He and Telmet have awesome DBs at the moment, and I bet they would be very excited to be able to add these in.

Default not compatible with both worlds.....

This DB isn't compatible with Telmets DB, all the npc ID's are different.
As for merging it into Drawdes DB , I think it might be better to wait until I get a few more of the Z's fixed before we try to merge it , might be easier to debug, as drawdes DB runs very smoothly as is, and the addition of movement makes it tough to pinpoint where an npc is supposed to originate.
Don't get me wrong , I'd love to have this incorporated into the DB's , but this is very early stages , and still needs ALOT of polishing.

I've loaded it onto my server (Accidently dropped my main database in the progress, $#*#**$ hangover!,my appologies anybody who created an character in the last week. Public floggings will be available on request )

But anyway its running my own merged version of Telmets & Drawds database, just the npcs exclusive to Telmets database don't move. Still it fills out the newb zones a little more

I've only found one problem a lot of NPCs tend to hop up and down while moving, kinda amusing if the idea of hopping orcs is your sort of thing

[edit]
Its back on my server again, after fixing my database, one of the tables had somehow become corrupt. Easily fixed

Yea, he mentioned he was working on fixing the z-axis for alot of the mobs, I think that would clear it up..

Bats fly very smoothly though !

I have provided an upto date mirror of these files in an earlier reply, somewhere towards the top of this page

He also did say that his server is only reachable during daytime EST, if you had more thoroughly read this thread

Default Works very well but many mobs stuck to wall?

I'm quite new here so this might be my ignorance. I have tried both your drdb1.sql and this db and it works amazingly well, however, many of the NPCs/mobs are stuck to the wall and quite a few are untargetable (out of range when you click on them).

Have I done something wrong or is this the way it is right now?

Thanks,
VetoEQ

(BTW: of course I did dump of char/account, drop, source new db fresh)

If it reasures you, your welcome to follow them to see just where they end up on my server. Provides 20mins of fun. (Sorry tcs)

Thanks for the reply Moon. I'm cool with that, maybe I can even help move them. I wanted to make sure that I wasn't the kid with the mobs on the wall and everyone else had them working perfect =p

Default Sorry about the confusion...

The npc's grouped on walls and such , are the ones whose "Z" coordinates is wrong.
I'm working on that now , but could use help if people would like to get me the npc type (i.e. orc pawn , orc warrior, etc...) and where you were at the time , including "Z" coordinates so I can incorporate some more waypoints to smooth out pathing and try to get the npc Z's closer to what they should be.
I have more zones moving, but am going to wat till I get the first couple releases worth of npc's running a bit smoother before I release them , hope you all enjoy this so far , will be updates soon.
Takes a while to get these figured out in a few of the zones
