Default Is AC really not in Damage Equation / Combat Equation?

Actually using the search by slot combined with HP(disregard AC, not currently in the damage equation) and any melee class can get 7k hp at level 60. Except maybe rangers, they need less hp to die fast (Posted by GrayPaint)

I just read this post in the Uber Characters thread, and wanted to know if it's true or not. Some others have also asked, but with all the "flames" in there, it never got answered...

BTW---Thanks for this EMU guys.

I tried to calculate it, but I never finished my work. It will remain unfinished for a while, at least if left only to me.

I don't believe there's a useful AC equation because there isn't a useful melee equation. Min/Max *can* be used to calculate damage based on theorized equations, but we haven't figured them out with AC yet.

So, it is my belief (but I don't rake code to verify) that it doesn't make one bit of difference in combat situations.

Well, playing a 65 warrior on EQlive has taught me that although HP is definately something you want to have, AC is also something that greatly reduces damage. I went from 1300ac unbuffed to 1600ac unbuffed, and the difference in damage mitigation against mobs was much different. RZTW went from hitting me for 600-700 a pop to 450-600 a pop.

You are 100% correct, it makes a big diference on LIVE but not in the EMU. It is NOT coded into the emu correctly. That is what they are saying.

Default Without augs...

Without augs on EMU, a war can still roughly get 8.4k HP atleast I'd say. With augs like 'Unala's Jewel of Life; +70hp' on EMU, we could have the Furor compatible HP of 9.7k unbuffed HP lol. So crazy...

There's a fake magelo, but with all current items, which means it's possible to obtain them, the war has 11k with augs...And that war doesn't have the 70hp ones, just the 40 or 50.
