Default I'm new and I have a question before starting a server

I'm new to this EQemu thing and I would like to start my own server

My question is
I played everQuest a long time ago, so I only hhave EverQuest, ruins of Kunark and Scar of Velious
can I still created my own server without having the newest EverQuests?

Thanks a bunch everyone

you don't need EQ client at all to run a server. So you can set up one without any problem, just follow the guides. It may take some time as you can't check by yourself if it runs well, but

Of course, you wil want to log in, to manage it. The servers are current to live as of january. Some patches broke the client with the emu in feb, so you will have to wait until version 5.5 is current with live (expect no ETA !!!)

In short :
- you can set up a server.
- read the forums about how to get a client connect to a EQEmu server
sooner or later, you'll be able to connect to your server.
