lol, im talking about the last EQ Live patch (one day it will happen) . Then there wont be anymore having to keep up with live, EQEMU will be able to spend much more time perfecting it . Remember the best Half-Life out there was the modded ones not the OEM version , mabey the best of EQ is yet to come. these are just lumbering thoughts while I sit bored with no one on my server until 5.7 is released . I leave my server run 24/7 and with each patch i find it barren. I cant wait till there are no more patches especially with each new patch having some new thing added to make you feel more retarded then the last, HEY !! anyone seen the boxes now that pop up when you hit certain levels??? Telling which zones you should go to LMFAO I have NEVER been callled an idiot by a game before annd really dont like it now , PLEASE EQ STOP ADDING BOXES FOR DUMMIES !!! so anyway , once SOE goes to the wayside and leaves EQ alone with no more patches do you think EQEMU will thrive or die??

While I <3 the emu project, I do hope that if and when SoE finds EQlive no longer worth supporting, they produce server software and tools for the community.

Would also be neat if the basic client was eventually stripped of copyrighted material (sounds, art, zones, etc) to allow for skins, plugins, custom content to be produced and used in conjunction with said server software for a free middleware-style online rpg package

*goes off musing to himself*
