Default Freezing before "Accept/Decline"

Even on regular everquest and on EQW, before either gets to the Accept/Decline window i freeze up...ive restarted comp, deleted all EQW files and all EQEmu Files from the EQ folder to see if that did anything...nothing, same problem...any ideas?

Does it work if you run everquest.exe normally. That is can you get to the account password screen for the verant servers?

Try the through file check when patching, otherwise *shrug* I suggest you check the sony/verant messageboards for help.

Same thing happened to me twice.
I had another folder with EQ (Everquest2) in it , so i just copied over the damaged files, not sure what causes it , but it freezes client b4 1st screen in both EQW and regular eqgame.exe.
Didn't have any trouble in earlier versions tho, and I've run all of them.
Maybe problem will disappear in next release
