#Zone testing of all zones, my results.

I ran a #zone test on every zone. Most seemed to load and place me on the map ok. Others sometimes had me fall for 10K or 20K of damage while others stuck me under the world. Here's the breakdown I had when I tested the zones.

Zones where I fall and die or am hit with major damage.

Akanon
Arena
Beholder
Burningwood
Cauldron
Cobalt Scar
Dreadlands
Emerald Jungle
Erudnext
Erudsxing
Feerrott
Hollowshade
Overthere
Rathemtn
Eastwastes
Grimling
Warsliks Wood

Zones that crash and fail to load. The character ends up stuck and you cannot login with it. I just deleted it and created a new one and continue testing.

Cabwest
Erudnint
Felwitheb
Grobb
Kael
Kedge
Neriaka
Neriakb
Soltemple
Thurgadina
Warrens
Crystal
Dalnir
Droga
Guktop
Hole
Kaesora
Mistmoore
Nurga
Runnyeye
Soldungb
Unrest
Velketor

Zones where I end up "under the world". Not sure why.

Commons
Everfrost
Fieldofbone
innothule
lfaydark
northkarana
qey2hh1
steamfront
tox
eastkarana
fearplane
skyfire
trakanon
wakening
sseru
westernwastes

Zones that had other issues, sometimes crashed, sometimes under the world, it was odd.

qeytoqrg
soldunga
veeshan
fungusgrove
paineel

All others seemed ok. I would think most of these are zone coordinate issues? Is there an updated zone coord file for 0.4.3 that I can test?

Thanks!

I think the main reason for this is that the Z coordinates for all the zone and safe points need to be divided by 10. E.g the safe point for qeynos2 is 31, it needs to be 3. I've modified all of the coordinates in this way, and they seem to work OK so far (I've only tested Qeynos so far, but the safepoint is now in the right place, rather than 20ft in the air near the gate, and the zone points actually go to the right place rather than putting you at the safe point)
I've put the modified zone data on my site, you can DL them here -

		Drawde,

Thanks for these files.
I suspect I'll need to rename them as *.sql files and source them into my current database.

Is that correct?

This might help me with some of the underworld and too high zone in locations for some zones.

Do these new coordinates help with these zones:

befallen
permafrost
soluseka
solusekb
gukbottom
overthere
qcat (qeynos aquaducts)

I get client crashes or stuck in no exit rooms (usually without numbers on the wall).

Thanks,
Arley

You don't have to rename them, just source them in as whatever the filename is. .sql is a handy extension, and it's commonly used, but not needed.

Yes though, thats all you should have to do, just source them in.

		Hmmm...

I changed the db using the

use eq

command and then tried sourcing the files in.

I could source the zone.txt file in but got this response for every line (of course <zonename> was an actual zone name).

ERROR 1062: Duplicate entry '<zonename>' for key 1

Does that mean the file did not source or that some entry on the line in the zone.txt file was noted as a duplicate?

The other file, zone_points.txt, errored with

ERROR:
Failed to open file 'zone_points.txt', error: 2

Am I missing something? I tried sourcing with and without the *.txt and *.sql extensions.

Thanks,
Arley

		Nevermind... I figured it out.
I got it to source as zone.txt.txt
I also got the zone_points.txt to source.

I'm gonna go test it now.

Thanks.

I think the odd extensions used (mentioned in previous post) were needed because I had extensions hidden in Windows.

The files sourced in okay, and it fixed many zones in which I had previously crashed.

Still can't get into Permafrost, however. The character stays in for about a minute and crashes the client.

Also, can't get into soldunga or soldungb or soltemple from the crater in Lavastorm. The Temple has a blue wall (the zone entrance) that I can't pass. I can get into soldungb using the #zone command and some of the internal (soldungb to soldunga zones) work, but nothing out to Lavastorm. And the client crashes trying to #zone into Temple of Solusek Ro.

Any clues?
Drawde?

Thanks,
Arley

Ran into some safe point problems, in every zone that I #zone to I fall to my death or end up under the world, unless I have a lvl 60 char with full life I don't live through it. Zones I've tested so far

Shar Vahl
Vex Thal
Temple of Veeshan
Shadoweavers Thicket (however that's spelled)
Hollowshade moore
Freeport N, E
Greater Faydark
Fironia Vei

I'm gonna check out other safe point drops, if need I'm gonna lower them all, but maybe the zone.txt above will fix it, not sure if this was in the latest release so lets give it a shot, I'll let you know about my results afterwards.
