Default Need ID infos

I prepare my new server and want to create my own content, but i need to know what id range i can use for NPC, Items, and any other need ID ?

i remember somewhere for item said id ranged between 1000 and 32000.. not exactly sure.

Items can go below 1000, not sure how low. Though. I presume 0-32657 or something similar...

Actually items will not work if they are below 1000, and the upper limit is somewhere around there, I can't remember exactly. there should be an item in most DB's that says do not make items beyond this point.

That's not true. Guildwars has items as low as 100.
